GREETINGS from Old Georgians’ Association, Taiping.

Fellow Georgians!  We have old Georgians in our midst who have good and fond memories of their young days in SGI.

They have generously donated to SGI through our OGA.  We had just  received a generous donation of RM5,000.00 from an Old Georgian ('55) presently residing in KL for the maintenance and upgrading of school facilities. Another Old Boy ('73) sponsored the tiling works for the school library floor worth about RM7,000.00. In late 2005 we had also received a grant of RM30,000.00 from Lee Foundation through an Old Georgian ('61) for the primary school which was in dire straits. Other Old Georgians have also donated in a small way to keep our Georgian spirit flying high. All these show that we Georgians do care and response to our duty's sweet call once we are made aware of the situations in SGI. OGA will inform old Georgians of this but we need Old Georgians to be members of OGA Taiping for us to disseminate news of SGI and fellow Georgians through our newsletters and meetings at our OGA Centre. So fellow Georgian! Support your OGA Taiping by becoming life members and encourage other Georgians to be one. Our present membership stands at 240.

Our 43rd Annual Reunion Dinner will be held on 1st April 2006 at New Soon Lee Restaurant. We hope this will be a bigger dinner than the one we had in 2005 when over 500 people attended.

We look forward to all Georgians, young and old, far and near to grace the occasion and foster the Georgian spirit and fellowship.

Till we meet again in April.

(Editor's Note: We apologise for any errors or short comings. However we welcome members who would like to contribute articles or news. We would try to publish every contribution if space permit)
