PRESIDENT PAUL LOH'S MESSAGE
ON 2nd March 2009 (Extracted from
Newsletter Feb 2009)
Greetings and Best
Wishes

I stand proud to be the
President of the OGA whose members have always
portrayed the Georgian spirit to keep the Association going with
so many activities and projects. This Newsletter will
highlight to you all our activities and the interests shown by the
344 members as of now.
We are also fortunate
to have with us Mr. Lee Seng Chuan (Class of 61), my charitable and
loyal classmate, who have contributed much in the name of OGA. For
the past year, through the OGA, we have received a cheque for
RM300,000.00 from Mr. Lee a Director of Lee Foundation and which was
forwarded to SGI for addition of 6 class rooms.
We must also thank Old
Georgians who had contributed in one way or another to our Alma
Mater in particular the very loyal Class of ’78 who had raised
RM26,000.00 in Dec. 2008 at their 30th Anniversary Reunion dinner
for the refurbishment of the basketball court
No Association can
function without its members and the larger the membership, the
healthier the Association. For the past 30 years, we have more than
10,000 Georgians and Georgianas leaving our Alma Mater after Form 5
and Form 6. I appeal to each and every one of you to identify who
among your classmates are not members and please invite them to join
us.
The Committee are
working out benefits and privileges for membership. Some of which
are discounts on Products and Services at OG member shops and
businesses, business networking, OGA Centre usage and many others.
Finally I am looking
forward to meeting each and every one of you at the 46th Annual
Dinner on 4 April 2009 at 7 pm at the Soon Lee Restaurant and I
promise you an unforgettable get-together with your former teachers
and schoolmates.
Thank you and God Bless
Yours in service
Paul Loh Eng Wah AMP
